Company Profile
When trying to choose our company name, consideration was given to the qualities that stand out as the most important aspects of fine woodworking. Several key qualities quickly came to mind--artisan's eye for detail, uncompromising quality at every stage of construction, and the often abstract feeling of "solidness" that accompanies most quality furniture. With this as our main focus and a traditional style preference, we decided on Woodwright, a name carrying the high-quality standard common to every furniture maker in Colonial America.
Some of our Colonial American traits are...
- No particle board use, every piece is made of solid wood.
- Woodwright's drawers are built with dove tail joinery.
- Each Woodwright furniture piece is built so grain and color match to ensure consistency.
The Woodwright Shop has an eclectic range of past projects varying in styles from antique reproduction to modern designs. We have developed portfolios along with client references for each of our designs. Within these portfolios it is made clear that The Woodwright Shop is dedicated to the artisan level of quality, dependability and high standard of service.
